license to be awesome

Here in the UAE, the number on your license plate is an important status symbol.  This plate above is from a rental car.   As the license number gets smaller, the owner's status in society gets bigger and bigger.  For example, the Sheik has 1.  The Sheik's son is 11.  The first day we pulled into the parking lot at our client, Imane saw "338" and was whispering it over and over.  Small numbers mean you're related to the royal family.  Big number, like this one above, and you're nobody.  We found out today one of our project sponsors is less than 100.  On the drive back to the hotel, we passed a 35.  So there you have it.... it's a license to be awesome.  #ibmcsc uae
